Jakarta, March 18 -- Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi stated that on Wednesday, or three days before Eid al-Fitr, the homecoming flow was running well.

"Up to today, the homecoming activities, thank God, have been going well. Activities by land, sea, air, and rail are all proceeding smoothly," he said here on Wednesday.

He also appreciated the National Police's initiative to hold a free homecoming program as it was considered very helpful for the public.

"Thus people no longer need to use vehicles to travel home. It is a good program, and hopefully, it will reduce incidents during journeys home," he said.

According to him, the use of buses for homecoming has encouraged people to plan their trips properly.
