Jakarta, May 8 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is ready to train 5,777 primary school teachers to teach English, as part of the Primary School Teacher Competency Development Program for English Language Instruction (PKGSD-MBI).
The ministry's Director General of Teachers and Education Personnel, Nunuk Suryani, stated that the training marks the start of the PKGSD-MBI program series, which is set to run for the next three years.
"For this first phase, 5,777 teachers are participating. With a total target of 90,447 teachers, the training will be conducted in stages annually over the next three years," she said during the program launch, which was broadcast online via the ministry's YouTube channel on Friday....
