Jakarta, June 22 -- The Indonesian government is preparing a national vocational training programme for 50,000 laid-off workers as part of the economic stimulus package for the second half of 2026.

The government is also targeting 220,000 participants in the national vocational training programme, which focuses on high school and vocational school graduates.

"We are currently preparing the programme in the best possible way," Minister of Manpower Yassierli conveyed at a press conference in Jakarta on Monday.

He added the government is also continuing the National Internship Program (MagangHub) for a second batch in 2026, with a total target of 150,000 participants throughout the year.
