Jakarta, Aug. 4 -- The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education highlighted that schools in Indonesia-ranging from elementary to high school levels-will undergo annual evaluations to guarantee safe and comfortable school environments for students.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu'ti said in Jakarta on Tuesday that the periodic evaluation process will be conducted comprehensively using the Learning Environment Survey (Surlimjar) mechanism.

"Every year, there is a school environment survey completed by students using a population-wide approach, rather than just a sample," he said after a media event on Gernas RANA-a national movement promoting safe and comfortable environments for children.
