Jakarta, Sept. 23 -- Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian, who also chairs the Sumatra Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force, said the government is targeting the rehabilitation and reconstruction of 4,922 schools affected by disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra provinces.

"Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti is using the ministry's regular budget along with additional funding from the Ministry of Finance, bringing the total to approximately Rp5 trillion," Tito said in Jakarta on Wednesday.

According to Tito, the funds are being used to rehabilitate and reconstruct 4,922 schools in the three provinces.
