Jakarta, April 24 -- Manpower Minister Yassierli has pledged to decentralize Indonesia's flagship National Internship Program, aiming to curb the heavy concentration of opportunities on the island of Java and improve job prospects for graduates in remote regions.

Speaking at a ceremony in Jakarta on Friday to mark the conclusion of the program's first phase, Yassierli noted that current placements remain skewed toward Java-the nation's economic and political heartland.
