Jakarta, June 17 -- The Ministry of Tourism is targeting 19.1 million foreign tourists to visit Indonesia by 2027.

"We are committed to maximizing all available resources to ensure that tourism contributes more significantly to the national economy, generates employment, boosts foreign exchange earnings, and enhances public welfare," Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardahana said at a working meeting with Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The figure exceeds the government's 2026 target of attracting between 16 million and 17.6 million foreign tourist arrivals.
