Jakarta, June 2 -- The National Development Planning Ministry stressed the need to accelerate the digitalization of various industrial sectors to achieve the target of 12 to 13 percent of the digital economy's contribution to Indonesia's GDP.

"We need to continue accelerating the growth of the domestic digital ecosystem, considering the set target of 12 to 13 percent of the digital economy's GDP contribution by 2029," the ministry's Deputy Secretary for Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation Rolly Rochmad Purnomo said here on Tuesday.

Digitalization must be accelerated, particularly in the creative industry, MSMEs, trade, finance, education, health, agriculture, transportation, energy, and digital media.
