Surabaya, E. Java, May 19 -- The Indonesian government continues to seek the release of three journalists detained by the Israeli military while participating in the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla humanitarian mission.

Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra stated that efforts will be carried out through diplomatic and legal means, in conjunction with various international third parties.

"The public is deeply concerned and regrets the actions of the Israeli military against Indonesian citizens, especially journalists who crossed international waters to carry out humanitarian activities to help victims of the conflict in Gaza," Mahendra stated on Tuesday
