Jakarta, Aug. 19 -- The government has identified thousands of hectares of state land and major water reservoirs as potential sites for a massive 30-gigawatt (GW) solar power rollout, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Yuliot Tanjung said.

"In preparation for the 30-gigawatt project, we have also identified government land that can be utilized, including land managed by the Land Bank under the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN)," Yuliot said after the Indonesia Sustainable Energy Week (ISEW) 2026 event in Jakarta on Wednesday.

"We are also utilizing reservoirs," he added.
