Jakarta, Oct. 10 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Manpower is delivering vocational training programs to assist communities affected by the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) in August 2026.

Sukro Muhab, a special staff member to the Minister of Manpower, said in a statement released here on Friday (October 9) that the initiative is designed to upgrade practical skills and competencies, empowering affected residents to re-enter the workforce or launch their own businesses.

"The Manpower Ministry is stepping in to support disaster-hit communities through skill enhancement. With job-ready skills, residents will be better prepared to return to work or develop their own independent businesses," Muhab said.
