Surabaya, E Java, Aug. 4 -- Indonesian Deputy Transportation Minister Suntana disbursed financial assistance to the families of the deceased victims of the KMP Mutiara Sentosa II passenger ferry fire at the Bhayangkara H.S. Samsoeri Mertojoso Hospital here on Tuesday.

He emphasized that the disbursement of the funds reflects the government's commitment to assisting citizens affected by public transportation accidents.

"The government ensures that the handling of the victims is carried out appropriately and does not burden the victims' families," Suntana said.
