Govt pledges to secure 3-kg LPG supply despite projected quota breach
Jakarta, Aug. 31 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has pledged to ensure the availability of subsidized 3-kilogram liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders, even as national consumption is projected to exceed the 2026 state budget quota.
"The state is committed to ensuring that the public's energy needs are met," the ministry's spokesperson Dwi Anggia told ANTARA here on Monday.
She emphasized that the government wants to prevent any scarcity or difficulties in obtaining the essential fuel. To achieve this, officials will carefully review actual market demand and distribution channels.
