Jakarta, Sept. 23 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Population and Family Development (Kemendukbangga/BKKBN) is ramping up efforts to boost male participation in family planning by offering operational cost support of up to Rp1.5 million (approximately US$84.27) per vasectomy case.

Speaking at a media briefing in Jakarta, Wednesday, the ministry's Director of Family Planning Service Access Development Fajar Firdawati stated that the national target for the male operative method (MOP)-commonly known as a vasectomy-is set at 2,688 acceptors.

She emphasized that the financial support provided per case covers operational expenses and lost income during post-procedure recovery rather than acting as a monetary incentive.
