Indonesia, May 3 -- The Indonesian government is continuing efforts to secure the release of four nationals held hostage aboard the MT Honor 25 tanker hijacked off Somalia, a lawmaker said.
"We are taking a comprehensive approach," said Syamsu Rizal, a member of Commission I of the House of Representatives (DPR), on Saturday.
He added that the government, including the Foreign Ministry, is intensifying coordination and communication with relevant parties to secure the hostages' release.
"We are pursuing all efforts, including diplomacy and non-state approaches," he said.
The government continues to monitor efforts to free the hostages, including the four Indonesians.
