Jakarta, April 29 -- The Head of the Indonesian Government Communications Agency Muhammad Qodari stated that the hospital upgrade program could create 33,000 jobs across 66 Regional Public Hospitals.
Under this program the government seeks to upgrade 66 facilities from the basic Type D category to high quality Type C facilities.
In a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday Qodari explained that each Type C hospital requires between 300 and 500 workers including medical personnel.
"Once these 66 Type C hospitals are completed and operational by 2027, the program has the potential to create between 20,000 and 33,000 direct jobs for the public," he said.
