Jakarta, Aug. 14 -- The government has covered the National Health Insurance (JKN) premiums for 96.8 million underprivileged Indonesians, President Prabowo Subianto announced on Friday.

"The state has also fully covered the national health insurance premiums for 96.8 million underprivileged Indonesians," he said during his state address at the 2026 Annual Session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) and the House of Representatives (DPR) at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta.
