Yogyakarta, Sept. 9 -- Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Fauzan has called on universities across Indonesia to identify their in-house disaster management experts.

Speaking in Yogyakarta on Wednesday, Fauzan said experts play a key role in helping the government and relevant agencies tackle disasters, including the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau.

"As we mentioned during the press conference on the Mount Anak Krakatau eruption, universities have been asked to identify experts specializing in disaster management," he told the press after opening the Yogyakarta Science and Technology Symposium.
