Jakarta, July 30 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs is proactively conducting cyber patrols and opening reporting channels for the public and government agencies to detect and combat radical content.

The ministry's Director General of Digital Space Oversight, Alexander Sabar, said in Jakarta on Wednesday (July 29) that every report received undergoes a verification process.

If a site or post is confirmed to have violated the rules, the ministry will take down the content or block the website and IP address.

"It does not rely solely on us, this requires a collaborative effort. While we are being proactive, we also depend on incoming reports from both the public and other institutions," he remarked.
