Gov't to strengthen free meal services under new BGN leadership
Jakarta, July 28 -- The government will tighten food safety standards and oversight of its Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program following the appointment of new leadership at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
Presidential Communication Office (Bakom) Head Muhammad Qodari said Tuesday that the leadership transition from Nanik S. Deyang to Sudaryono was part of efforts to improve the MBG program.
He said the government's priority was to continuously improve service quality so the program's benefits could reach the public more effectively.
"We will further improve food safety standards and oversee every stage of the MBG program, from ingredient availability to meal delivery. We will also respond more quickly to public reports," he said....
