Jakarta, Oct. 10 -- Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman said the government is preparing to build three egg flour and meat flour processing plants as a solution to strengthen the national livestock ecosystem.

"This step is aimed at expanding the market for livestock production, maintaining price stability, and reducing Indonesia's dependence on imported products," Sulaiman said in a statement confirmed here on Saturday.

He said the plant construction is part of the government's strategy to build an integrated livestock ecosystem, from providing animal feed raw materials, strengthening production by farmers and breeders, to absorbing and processing output.
