Kupang, May 15 -- Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan stated that the government will soon build 2,000 fishing villages across Indonesia to support fishermen.

"We will build 2,000 locations throughout Indonesia, including in East Nusa Tenggara," Hasan said during his visit to the Indonesian Bethel Church (GBI) in East Nusa Tenggara and delivering greetings for Christians in Kupang on Ascension Day, Friday.

He is currently awaiting data on the number of fishing villages to be built in 2026 for the East Nusa Tenggara region.

He hopes that the regional government will quickly collect data so that construction can be carried out in East Nusa Tenggara, known as one of the island provinces.
