Gov't targets 97 pct of national roads in good condition by 2027
Jakarta, July 2 -- The Public Works Ministry is targeting 97 percent of national roads to be in good condition by 2027 to strengthen connectivity, accelerate public mobility and logistics distribution, and support equitable national development.
During a working meeting with the parliament here on Wednesday, the ministry's Director General of Highways, Roy Rizali Anwar, said the target is based on the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).
He stated that under the 2025-2029 RPJMN, the Directorate General of Highways is prioritizing efforts to improve road connectivity along major corridors and increase access to remote and border areas to drive growth and balanced development.
