Jakarta, Aug. 5 -- Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan has offered investment opportunities to the business sector through several strategic programs aimed at strengthening food security while boosting national economic growth.

"The business sector needs to become a strategic partner in strengthening supply chains, distribution, processing, and increasing the added value of the food sector from upstream to downstream," Hasan said in a statement received here on Wednesday.

The minister made the remarks while attending the 35th National Working and Consultation Meeting of the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) in Makassar on Tuesday (Aug 4).
