Jakarta, Aug. 11 -- The government has integrated the SATUSEHAT health data platform with the Population Administration Information System (SIAK) to facilitate the digital issuance of birth certificates, family cards, and maternal and child health cards for newborns.

Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said here on Tuesday that the integration, carried out with the Home Affairs Ministry, was a response to difficulties in tallying newborns due to inconsistent data across agencies.

"So the immunization team, the maternal and child birth team, and the stunting team all have different data. I am confused too about how many babies were actually born. Not to mention compared with the General Elections Commission (KPU)," he said.
