Jakarta, April 27 -- RI Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs ensures that utilizing local food sources for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program could help stabilising food prices as well as strengthening the national food ecosystem.

Deputy for Coordination of Food Affordability and Security at the ministry, Nani Hendiarti, said here on Monday that measures to maintain food stability are not only related to its supply, but also to strengthen the integrated management.

"The food ingredients (of MBG) come from local sources, which can help to reduce the price. Since the logistic costs are quite high, so it will cut a certain percent if we use from local sources; and, it will also help building the ecosystem," Hendiarti said.
