Jakarta, Sept. 24 -- Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni said the government continues to focus on tackling forest and land fires that have shifted to Central Kalimantan, where the number of hotspots keeps rising

"If we look at the hotspot trend in the six provinces, the figures continue to decline. Riau has recorded zero for the past three days, Jambi had six hotspots yesterday, and now there is only one," Raja Juli told reporters in the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Thursday.

According to the minister, the number of hotspots in South Sumatra had also declined from 17 to 11. A similar decline occurred in South Kalimantan, where the number fell from 68 to 23.
