South Lampung, Sept. 11 -- Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan said the government, through State-owned logistics agency Bulog, is continuing to strengthen food assistance distribution as a tool to safeguard food security.

Through the distribution of targeted food assistance, the government hopes to maintain people's purchasing power and ensure that food needs are met, Zulkifli said after inspecting food assistance distribution at Merah Putih Village Cooperatives in Pisang Village, South Lampung District, Lampung Province on Friday.

"This food assistance is targeted at beneficiary communities designated by the government, particularly groups that need support to meet their daily food needs," he said.
