Four suspension bridges built to improve village connectivity: govt
Jakarta, June 30 -- The Public Works Ministry is building four suspension bridges in Banten Province to improve connectivity, support local economies and expand access to public services in rural communities, Minister Dody Hanggodo said on Tuesday.
Hanggodo said the bridges are simple but essential infrastructure that provides tangible benefits to local communities.
"Suspension bridges improve mobility, facilitate agricultural distribution and expand access to public services," he said.
The community-based projects are being built in areas separated by rivers, ravines and hills to improve mobility while supporting economic activity and basic public services.
