Jakarta, April 22 -- Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman revealed that four countries have requested Indonesia's urea fertilizer, with total demand reaching at least 750 thousand tons, amid global supply chain disruptions.
He said that the four countries are India, Australia, the Philippines, and Brazil.
"The Indian ambassador called directly to get the fertilizer; likewise, Australia, the Philippines, and Brazil. These four countries ask to get urea fertilizer," Sulaiman stated after attending a meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs here, on Wednesday.
India asked for 500 thousand tons of Indonesia's urea fertilizer, while Australia agreed to receive 250 thousand tons in the first shipping batch from Indonesia.
