Jakarta, Aug. 18 -- Indonesia's state logistics agency, Bulog, says food reserves in East Nusa Tenggara remain secure to support earthquake-stricken communities during ongoing emergency response and recovery efforts, with tens of thousands of tons on standby.

Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani said the province holds between 35,000 and 37,000 metric tons of rice, which is sufficient for immediate relief operations.

"Stocks are secure," Rizal said on Monday. "If more is needed, we will increase supplies."

Bulog is distributing rice across East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to supply impacted areas without disrupting normal commercial distribution.
