Jakarta, April 2 -- A fire broke out at an LPG filling station (SPBE) in Bekasi City, West Java, on Wednesday night, injuring 12 people, the city's Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) said.
"There were no fatalities, but 12 people were injured and are receiving treatment. The victims include residents and SPBE workers," said Idham Kholid, head of BPBD's emergency and logistics division.
In a statement received on Thursday, he said the victims were taken to several hospitals, including Kartika Husada Hospital, Bekasi City Regional General Hospital, RSUD Dr. Chasbullah Abdulmajid, and Citra Arafiq Hospital.
He did not provide details on the injuries.
Kholid said damage assessment is ongoing at the 2,000-square-meter site.
