Tangerang, April 6 -- State-owned airport operator, PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) in Tangerang, Banten, diverted several flights on Monday due to extreme weather, particularly during the landing phase at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
Assistant Deputy for Communication and Legal Affairs at PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia for Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Yudistiawan, informed the diversions were due to heavy rain and potential wind shear, or changes in wind direction that could disrupt flight operations.
"These conditions impacted flight movements, particularly during the landing phase at Soekarno-Hatta Airport," he remarked.
