Jakarta, June 5 -- The Ministry of Religious Affairs reported that the number of sacrificial animals or qurban for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri reached 2,032,753, consisting of 676,866 cattle and 1,355,887 goats.

"The implementation of qurban this year reflects the strong participation of Muslims. More than two million sacrificial animals were distributed across mosques throughout Indonesia," the ministry's Director of Islamic Religious Affairs and Sharia Development Arsad Hidayat said on Friday.
