Jakarta, July 21 -- Indonesia's 2026 Economic Census will provide key data for developing more targeted labor policies by mapping business activity, workforce use, job growth and skills needs, Manpower Minister Yassierli said.

The census will produce comprehensive data on business-sector development, economic activity distribution, business scales and workforce utilization, Yassierli said in a statement received Tuesday.

The data will help the government map job growth, workforce skills requirements and productivity needs, he said.

It will also identify sectors and regions with high job-creation potential while providing insight into changing competency demands in the labor market.
