Surabaya, July 17 -- East Java recorded Rp17.45 billion (over US$970,000) in transactions under the Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDMP) program as of July 7, 2026, topping the national ranking, Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa reported.

"East Java has once again demonstrated the spirit of cooperation and a people-centered economy through cooperatives. This significant transaction value shows that village economic activity is moving and delivering direct benefits to residents," she said in Surabaya on Friday.

Data from the program's official portal showed that village cooperatives across the province registered a combined transaction value of Rp17.45 billion, accounting for more than half of the national total of Rp30.06 billion....
