Jakarta, Sept. 9 -- Law Minister Supratman Andi Agtas said the electronic voting (e-voting) mechanism used to select regional office heads is part of a trial to develop the ministry's talent management system.

During a visit to the ministry's regional office in Banten on Wednesday, he said the mechanism is aimed at ensuring the leadership selection process does not only consider competency and track record but also involves employees who will work with the elected leader.

"The e-voting mechanism is oriented toward creating a solid team within work units to improve public services that are increasingly excellent," Agtas said, as confirmed in Jakarta.
