Surakarta, C Java, Sept. 21 -- Trade Minister Budi Santoso stated that e-commerce regulations must prioritize local products on marketplace storefronts and ensure transparency among sellers, platform operators, and consumers.

This is in line with the Trade Ministry's updated regulations on electronic commerce under Trade Minister Regulation No. 19 of 2026.

"First, we want our local products to be prioritized. Second, there must be transparency from platforms to sellers regarding all aspects, including administrative matters. Lastly, consumer protection is also important," Budi said in Surakarta, Central Java, on Monday.
