DPR approves One Data Indonesia Bill to be enacted into law
Jakarta, Oct. 6 -- The 9th Plenary Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) for the First Session Period of the 2026-2027 Parliamentary Year approved the One Data Indonesia Bill to be enacted into law on Tuesday.
Before the bill was approved, Sturman Panjaitan, Deputy Chairman of the DPR's Legislation Body (Baleg), said the drafting of the One Data Indonesia Bill was grounded in the constitutional mandate to protect all Indonesian citizens.
According to him, data accuracy is essential to ensuring justice. Baleg believes that high-quality data forms the foundation for sound, transparent, and accountable public policies.
