Indonesia, Oct. 8 -- Indonesia's downstream sector accounted for 30 percent of total national investment realization in the first semester of 2026, according to Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI) Chief Executive Officer Rosan Roeslani.

Speaking at the groundbreaking and commercialization ceremony for 11 nickel downstream ecosystems and the inaugural export of electric vehicle (EV) batteries in the Weda Bay Industrial Area, North Maluku, Thursday, Rosan said the downstream sector's contribution has expanded significantly over the past two years.

"From the total investment, the downstream figure has increased in the last two years rising from 25 percent to reach 30 percent of total incoming investment," Rosan noted.
