Jakarta, Aug. 20 -- National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) researcher Ristiyanto emphasized that patterns of disease intervention and control following disasters cannot be applied uniformly, as each type of natural disaster carries highly specific risk characteristics.

"So intervention for a disaster is not one package for all. We have to look at the main risk factors and what the disaster event itself is," he said during an online discussion on post-disaster infectious diseases held here on Thursday.
