Banjarnegara, Aug. 30 -- The Dieng Coffee Festival, held from Aug. 28 to 30 as part of the 16th Dieng Culture Festival (DCF) in Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java, recorded approximately Rp15 billion in transactions, equivalent to around US$846,000.

Tursiman, head of the Banjarnegara Tourism and Culture Office, said in Dieng Kulon Village on Sunday that the figure illustrated the festival's immense potential to boost the local economy.

"This number is remarkable, and it is derived solely from the Coffee Festival," he said, adding that total transaction data from other DCF events had yet to be calculated.
