Jakarta, Aug. 7 -- Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Fajar Riza Ul Haq said the transformation of schools must begin with principals who are capable of leading change and mobilizing the entire education ecosystem.

In a statement released in Jakarta on Friday, Fajar said school principals are expected to have a clear vision, adapt to changing circumstances, and foster collaboration with teachers and education personnel to create a high-quality learning environment.

He said demographic changes, the persistently high number of out-of-school children, and evolving challenges in education delivery require every educational institution in Indonesia to continuously improve.
