Jakarta, April 6 -- Indonesia's Deputy Minister for Population and Family Development, Ratu Ayu Isyana Bagoes Oka, has called for the expansion of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and non-preschool toddlers, collectively referred to as the 3B group.
In a statement issued on Monday, she stressed the need to increase the number of beneficiaries by directing more MBG kitchens, officially known as nutrition fulfillment service units (SPPGs), to prepare meals specifically for the group.
She said the initiative is important to support President Prabowo Subianto's vision of achieving a "Golden Indonesia 2045" by preventing stunting during the first 1,000 days of life.
