Chinese hiker rescued after slipping on Mount Rinjani
Indonesia, Sept. 15 -- A joint search and rescue team evacuated a 47-year-old Chinese national safely after he slipped while hiking in Mount Rinjani National Park in West Nusa Tenggara Province, authorities said here Tuesday.
"At 4:47 a.m. local time Tuesday, the joint SAR team and the victim arrived at the Senaru park post. The hiker was taken to Nusa Medica Clinic Sembalun," Mataram SAR Chief Muhamad Hariyadi said.
Li Xianhua was reported to have slipped on the Senaru-Batu Ceper hiking trail on Mount Rinjani at around 8 a.m. local time Monday.
"The incident caused the victim to suffer a severe head impact and lose consciousness," Hariyadi said.
