Central Sulawesi quake affects 109 people, BNPB says
Jakarta, June 17 -- At least 109 people from 45 households were affected by a magnitude 6.7 earthquake that struck Central Sulawesi on Tuesday, Indonesia's National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) said.
The quake injured 32 people, including 24 with minor injuries and eight with serious injuries, BNPB Spokesperson Abdul Muhari said. He added that casualty and damage data were still being verified and updated.
Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said the earthquake struck on land at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), centered at 1.03 degrees south latitude and 120.24 degrees east longitude.
