Jakarta, May 25 -- State-owned logistics company Bulog is currently managing a record-high rice stock of 5.36 million tons, supported by a nationwide storage capacity that has expanded to 6.2 million tons.

Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani said on Monday that storage capacity will continue to increase in line with rising national rice production to optimize stock management and strengthen food stabilization efforts.

On the procurement side, Bulog has absorbed around 2.8 million tons of rice from its 2026 target of 4 million tons.

Ramdhani stated that the achievement reflects Bulog's active role in supporting domestic farmers while reinforcing Indonesia's national food reserves.
