Indonesia, April 14 -- The Director General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation (KSDAE) at the Ministry of Forestry, Satyawan Pudyatmoko, said that Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is a priority destination for world-class tourism.
"The government has set a target to develop several national parks in Indonesia into world-class destinations, with Bromo Tengger Semeru as a key priority," he said at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Tengger Caldera Ring Road (JLKT) in the park area on Monday (April 13).
Pudyatmoko explained that the development of the JLKT is part of a broader strategy for integrated national park management. Indonesia currently has 57 national parks.
