BRIN promotes Bali's subak as example of sustainable agriculture
Denpasar, Bali, June 24 -- The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) stated that Bali's subak agricultural system has become a global example of resource management that maintains a balance between low-emission agricultural productivity, environmental sustainability, and cultural values.
Head of BRIN's Agriculture and Food Research Organization Puji Lestari, speaking here on Wednesday, emphasized that the subak system, a Balinese cultural heritage for more than a thousand years, can serve as an inspiration for the world in developing low-emission and sustainable agriculture.
