Jakarta, Sept. 22 -- The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is developing an Adsorbed Natural Gas (ANG) technology projected to serve as a household alternative to Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

BRIN Head Arif Satria stated that the technology, which utilizes Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), will deliver exceptionally high usage efficiency.

"There will be a twofold increase in efficiency, roughly 1.5 to two times greater, and this will mark an energy revolution in Indonesia," Satria said during the Energy Week 2026 event in Jakarta on Tuesday.
